I have considered doing a Thundarr-like D&D setting. I guess a mix of D&D and Gamma World.

I was thinking more straight up D&D rules with some Gamma Wold tech thrown in.

Something like that. Except the world be a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The D&D races would be mutated-humans (but the Elves would never admit that).

There is a thundarr rpg already using mutant future, and it's free. The guy normally adds things to the setting via his blog. Savage after worlds... http://www.savageafterworld.com/
