Adventures Dark and Deep

ADVENTURES DARK AND DEEP™ is not a "retro-clone." It does not set out to re-create a particular set of rules from decades past, as do some other games (not that there's anything amiss in doing so!). Rather, it is a new creation, unique unto itself, and does not attempt to recreate any set of rules that has gone before. The game and its materials are compatible with other games that are based on the original and Advanced versions of the world's most popular role-playing game.

Officially Supported by the RFI Podcast as the best thing since AD&D 1E!

Just the one article, I'm afraid.

One is better than none!

How close is AD&D to being 'complete' and ready for release?

Thanks for the kind words, Lord Nikon.

The open playtest versions of the rulebooks can indeed be found here:

http://www.adventuresdarkanddeep.com

The only major revision that's coming down the pike is to the Bestiary. Creatures from the Fiend Folio and Monster Manual II are coming. Right now it only contains creatures from the original Monster Manual, plus a few new ones. Once that happens, it's all (hopefully) minor revisions.

At the above link you'll also find the ADD forums, and I most heartily welcome anyone who might be interested in the project to sign up there. You'll find a lot more in-depth information (especially about the genesis of the project and its specific inspirations), and that's where the yeoman's work of feedback and revision is taking place. It's an open playtest-- everyone is invited!

No. Due to the flooding and Evacs in my area, I had to postpone the interview. Soon though.

Ouch!

No problem there - real life rules!

Luckily we dodged a bullet here in Massachusetts, though we did have some problems (I was without power for 4 days - no big hardship I know!).

I look forward to listening to this interview when it is finally released though!
