Reading modules concerning mass combat or assaults

Postby outlander78 » Wed Jun 13, 2012 6:15 am

Hello.

I am looking for modules that involve domains, mass combat and/or infiltrating bases to defeat rulers.

X4/X5/X10, X11, DDA3 (Eye of Traldar), and the CM series all seem to fit the bill. Are there any other modules you can suggest? Perhaps ones from AD&D or Dungeon magazine?

thanks,
Andrew

AD&D offers up many along this line:

The "go to" classics here are the A-series (slavelords)
G-series (giants)
And
U-series (pirates/lizard men/sauhaguin)

UK3 - The Gauntlet has the small army led by the Fire Giant seeking to get back his daughter.

I2 - Tomb of the Lizard King - Dealing with the multiple packs of wights near the illusinary lake.

The entire Giant series is full of battles of the nature you seek.

The U-series of modules especially U2 and U3 HOWEVER this module could also be played out where the players DO NOT have to fight all of the creatures in those modules.
